So You Think You've Got The Star Factor?

Only small in size, but the programme for 'So You Think You've Got The Star Factor' was vital in helping the audience choose who to vote for!

Huge thanks to Dave Keightley for once again stepping in to capture some moments from another great show! Don't forget to check him out at www.howaboutdave.com!

StarFactor_07We were very lucky to have Jo Stacey from The Journal come to see the show. Not only did she write a nice article to preview the show a couple of weeks, but she also wrote a great review that came out the morning of the last show - and no doubt put a few more enthusiastic bums on seats!

Many thanks to Jo!

Last night the curtain came down on ACT's Summer Season show 'So You Think You've Got The Star Factor' - affectionately known as SYTYGTSF!

Cider_SistersAnother full house in Croyde gave us the noise and enthusiasm to make it a fantastic final show, with The Cider Sisters taking the final winning vote of the season.

We weren't sure how the whole idea would be received when we first put it together, but after the first few people tip-toed through the door on 29th July, they were followed by crowds week after week!

Now although this was a fictional competition, the audiences were there to vote for their winner each week and this raised the stakes for some of our 'Finalists'! After the initial excitement of a show hastily put together in a couple of weeks, some real fighting spirit broke out amongst the cast who all wanted to get the chance to win the audience's vote.

And I should reiterate here that it was a genuine vote by each audience, rather than part of the scripting of the show - until that envelope was handed to the presenter no-one had a clue who's name would be called out.
