I had seen Joseph before at the Queen's in 2006, but this time around, I enjoyed the show even more than before thanks to the amazing performers, choir and extravagant scenery and props.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the amazing biblical
story of Joseph and his eleven jealous brothers. Joseph was
fantastically and originally played by "Any Dream will Do" runner up
Craig Chalmers who bought a witty charm and new personality to the
role. His eleven brothers were all individual and equally hilarious as
they taunted and teased their popular brother. My favourite character
had to be the Elvis Pharoah who's song was a hit with screaming girls
and his dancing was cool as well. Most of us know the amazing songs
from Joseph. I enjoyed "Any Dream will Do", "Close every Door" and of
course, the rockin' rollin' Pharoah number. My only negative of this
highly professional production is that some of the children's choir
looked a little grumpy, but they well than made up for that with their
singing which blended well with the Principle parts. An amazing
Technicolored performance which got everyone up on their feet and
whistling the tunes. To conclude, i also met Craig Chalmers who played
Joseph after the show and he is a very friendly, professional actor.
Go Go Go Jo!
