On Saturday 12th June Braunton race track was swamped with people all taking part in the 'Relay for Life' for Cancer Research. Among them were some familiar faces doing their part...
The crowd on the right, liberally doused in purple are doing the first lap - called the survivor's lap. I'm sure you can figure out that they've all braved the big 'C' and come out the other side - amongst them is one of our Presidents, Martyn Lambeth (ever the stage manager, keeping his bit of the banner as straight as possible!).
ACT also had the honour of getting the whole event going with our talented leading lady and leading man, Natalie and Martin who bravely took to the track to perform 'Footloose' and 'Holding out for a Hero' - all very appropriate!

Amongst the runners was Betty Blast herself - Sandra Pickett! We have to thank Sandra for getting us involved in this great event that touches so many people. Next year we've decided we'll be putting in a team of our own, consisting of Max Bialystock's backers - complete with zimmers and little-old-lady dresses. So watch this space!!
Big thanks also to Val Lambeth, Julie Scott and Sophie Lerwill who turned up to support the event and help make ACT some new friends.
A great job by all involved. Thanks guys!!
