On December 1st 2012, a bunch of ACT members and supporters will be putting themselves to an incredible challenge when they set off to climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
At the time of writing there are 8 people confirmed for the challenge, a challenge which will involve more than beating the mountain. Each member of the team will be raising sponsorship money for charity. 50% goes to ACT and 50% for a registered charity of their choosing - and the cost of the challenge is coming out of their own pockets, so we're lucky that our friends at Kuoni have agreed to support us by helping us with the costs.
We're very grateful for the excellent work by cast and crew of 'The Producers' who wowed the Kuoni representative who we invited along and was so impressed decided he wanted to find a way to support the society. Fantastic to have this global company behind us!
As for our plans for the climb, there's still time if you want to join us in training, climbing and fund-raising. We're having a gathering of climbers (both confirmed and potential) for a more in depth discussion of what is to come and to lay out plans for sponsorship gathering.
