On December 1st 2012, a bunch of ACT members and supporters will be putting themselves to an incredible challenge when they set off to climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
At the time of writing there are 8 people confirmed for the challenge, a challenge which will involve more than beating the mountain. Each member of the team will be raising sponsorship money for charity. 50% goes to ACT and 50% for a registered charity of their choosing - and the cost of the challenge is coming out of their own pockets, so we're lucky that our friends at Kuoni have agreed to support us by helping us with the costs.

Always keen to try something new, Atlantic Coast Theatre are preparing to stage Victoria Wood's "Acorn Antiques the Musical" in July of 2012.
Everyone knows the beloved parody of '80s soap operas which made a star of that tottering tea-lady "Mrs Overall". It was so popular it returned regularly for special episodes, and then Victoria took it a step further and combined her comic genius with her talent for witty song writing and penned the musical version for the West End!

Atlantic Coast Theatre will be performing "Acorn Antiques the Musical" at the Queen's Theatre in Barnstaple next July - but as rehearsals wont begin until around March, there's plenty of time for you to get involved - either onstage or behind the scenes!
We'll also be hosting an evening dedicated to Manchesterford's most famous Antiques Emporium in the new year to introduce the show to you all. If you're interested the best thing to do is sign up to our newsletter (by clicking here) so you'll hear as soon as we've laid our plans!!
